Passionate Romantic Poetry

Blinded by Broken Passion

Thou forward path is blinded
by weighted rock of broken passion,
many moons have passed by with confusion singing loudly inside thine mindful compass,
encouraging strength to grow within thine own selfulfilling prophecy,
making the selfish choice to ensnare thine ones own soul,
with wanton lustful desire for past bondage chains.

Tears keep flooding and slowly moving streams appear,
washing over thy timely built protective fortress,
waters flowing with fears surround thee,
tugging away at thine own imagination dam,
which thou once upon a time re-enforced through experiences of yesterday's sorrow,
shall thee one day drown in a landfill of memories?

Entwined thoughts of yesterday with thine trusted lover whom now steals away at thy heart,
the time we jointly signed that contract of soul partnership,
now imprisons us to live as one within thine heart forever.

Despondent towards tomorrow,
thou cannot bare the idea to care so sparingly for another lover,
fore thine torn heart holds the power to ignite new beginnings,
but, angry battling blood within thee denies the right to choose,
so thee is only left with the choice
to loose, and be alone.

I am very proud of this poem, written with the Great William Shakespeare in mind.
